Based on Daniel Tal’s upcoming book, Rendering in SketchUp (Wiley & Sons, February 2013), the one hour webinar provides a concise and detailed overview on how to generate a photorealistic rendering from a SketchUp model.
With a focus on process, Daniel will review how to obtain and place textures onto the 3D model, set up exterior lighting using the SketchUp Shadow menu and provide specific settings for rendering.
The webinar will emphasis the universal nature of the modeling to rendering process. All work is completed in SketchUp and is compatible with several different rendering programs. These rendering plugins work within SketchUp and have an easy learning curve while providing fast results. Shaderlight, SUP Podium, Twilight Render and Render[in] are some of the programs reviewed as part of the webinar.
In addition, the presentation will discuss the recent change of SketchUp’s ownership from Google to Trimble, what it means for the future of SketchUp and how it might affect site design and landscape architects.
