Craig S. Wallace is owner and founder of C.S. Wallace Investments + Strategy. The company evaluates, invests and advises early to mid-stage companies in animal health. Since 2019, his investment portfolio has grown to 12 companies including human diagnostics, women’s healthcare, novel veterinary healthcare technologies and virtual veterinary medicine.  Mr. Wallace also works as an advisor to a range of clients from multi-nationals, venture capital firms and startup organizations.

Wallace previously served as Chief Executive Officer, of North America and Pacific regions of Ceva Santé Animale, the fifth largest animal health company worldwide. Wallace also held leadership roles at Trupanion, Inc., a pet insurance provider, and Fort Dodge Animal Health, a global manufacturer of animal health products for the livestock, companion animal, equine, swine and poultry industries. 

Wallace joined the Elanco Board of Directors in March 2024. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of 1C, a pet retail distributor, and KeraVet Bio, a veterinary wound care company.

Wallace has also served on various boards of directors including the National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues (NCVEI), Kansas State University Advisory Board, Chairman of the Kansas City Animal Health Corridor Advisory Board, panel judge at the annual KC Animal Health Summit, board member for the Kansas City-based humane society and Wayside Waifs. 

Wallace has been a member of the board of trustees at Georgetown College since January 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Georgetown College.

What is the Iron Paw Award?

Iron Paw

The Iron Paw award is an award given to an individual from research, academia, industry or government regardless of title or years of service who has provided a significant impact on or contribution to the global animal health industry.

 

Nominations can recognize early-career impact, lifetime achievement, novel innovations, entrepreneurs or other achievements that have made a positive impact on the industry.

 

The Animal Health Corridor (AHC) Board or a subcommittee appointed by the AHC Board will decide on the recipient of the award each year.
