Teen History Bowl Tournament Volunteer Sign-up
Need volunteer hours? The Teen History Bowl Tournament is quickly approaching and we need volunteers!

The Teen History Bowl is a way for teens who love history to share their knowledge in a fun & competitive environment. The tournament is scheduled to happen Sunday, March 6 from 9am-5:30pm, but volunteer slots start as early as 8am and end as late as 6pm. Volunteers are NOT required to have knowledge in history.

If you would like to volunteer, please complete this form by Friday, February 26. Anyone who signs up to volunteer will receive volunteer hours from the City of Palo Alto, as well as breakfast and/or lunch depending on their time slot(s). Volunteers can choose their job and their own time slot based on their availability. Please see form below for more details.

Those selected to volunteer must attend a training session at the Mitchell Park Community Center at 3700 Middlefield Rd. in Palo Alto, CA. Volunteers can choose to attend either Wednesday, March 2 at 6 pm or Thursday, March 3 at 7 pm for their session.

Shift Descriptions
Set-up: Volunteers who sign up to set-up will meet at 8am at the Mitchell Park Community Center and help with setting up the event. This includes setting up chairs, tables, & buzzers. In addition, volunteers are responsible for making sure signage is posted around the area to provide directions to participants.

Readers/Scorekeepers: Volunteers who sign up to read or be a scorekeeper will be fluently reading questions to competitors throughout the given round. Scorekeepers will be keeping track of scores and ensuring accuracy.

Clean-up: Volunteer who sign up to clean-up will be taking down signage, placing tables & chairs back to their original set-up, and picking up trash.
