2017 National Lawyers Guild Convention — People of Color Travel Stipend Application
The United People of Color Caucus, the Anti-Racism Committee, and the National Office (NO) of the National Lawyers Guild (NLG) are pleased to announce the 2017 travel stipends for law students, legal workers, and recent graduates of color to attend the 80th Anniversary NLG Law for the People Convention August 2-6, 2017 (learn more at nlg.org/convention).

The application deadline is midnight PT on Monday May 22, 2017. Applicants may use the online application below. LGBTQIA, and persons with disabilities are particularly encouraged to apply.

Applicants will receive a decision on their requested funding by Monday, June 12, 2017.  If possible, we encourage you to make travel reservations at the earliest time possible. Applicants who receive funding will be asked to provide itineraries and  receipts prior to receiving a reimbursement check.

We look forward to reviewing your application!  To learn more about TUPOCC, visit the NLG website (nlg.org/committees/) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/TUPOCC-The-United-People-of-Color-Caucus-of-the-NLG-177403295625187/)

PLEASE NOTE:

(1) This online application may not "autosave"; the applicant should be prepared to complete the entire application in one session.
(2) Submission of an application for the People of Color Stipend has no bearing on registration for the National Convention; applicants for the stipend will need to submit their registration forms separately to the NO.
(3) The applicant is required to share certain personal information. TUPOCC and the National Lawyers Guild will not willingly or knowingly share this information with third parties.
(4) The applicant will not receive reimbursement from the NO until the convention, where they will pick up their check.
