WEA Social Justice: Developing a Vision Conference - 2020

Join WEA February 21-22 at Casper’s Hilton Garden Inn for the 2020 Social Justice: Developing a Vision Conference. Highlights from the event include:

  • Keynote speaker Dr. Angela Jaime, Ph.D.
  • Game night
  • NEA Emerging Leaders Social Justice Training
  • Documentary Screening of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and accompanying panel discussion

Dr. Angela Jaime is a University of Wyoming Professor of Native American and Indigenous Studies.

Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women is an award-winning documentary produced by students of WEA member and art teacher at Ft. Washakie High School, Tracey Wilcox.

This statewide event is open to and complimentary for all WEA members.

Conference is PTSB Credit approved.

Meals will be provided. For WEA members traveling XX number of miles to attend, a complimentary double occupancy hotel room will be provided. Single occupancy rooms can be booked  for 1/2 the usual room rate, or $52.32.
