Description

This event has been rescheduled to March 3 due to potential weather issues. Hope you can come!

Presenter Jody McVittie is a family physician with a state-wide following among schools, parents, and others who work with children. Her highly successful approach, called Sound Discipline, teaches adults how to build resilience and connection with children. Using engaging activities, Dr. McVittie demonstrates how children think and react when experiencing stress or trauma.

At this FREE workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Use connection and relationship to build kids’ resilience.

  • Reframe positive feedback to support self-confidence.

  • Recognize misbehavior as a call for connection.

  • Learn to address misbehavior with respect and room for growth.

  • Teach kids why their brains sometimes "won't cooperate" and what to do about it.
