The Centre is based at the Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet, with easy access to Castle Cary mainline station (9 mins).
Available from January 2018, the Bath & West Rural Enterprise Centre will provide a conference and seminar area for up to 80 people, modern commercial test kitchen, a number of meeting rooms and commercial office space for ‘agri food or rurally focused businesses. The Centre will be a valuable facility in supporting the development of agricultural businesses, land–based skills training and micro food and drink companies.
Renting office space
There are flexible terms to suit both budget and length of tenure. The license fee is charged at £11.00+VAT per square foot and includes all utilities and rates, except telephone. This includes use of the use of our ultrafast 100 Mb of fibre broadband, power and data points.
There will be ample parking available; one space per desk will be provided in the communal car park as well as plenty of grass parking. In addition, the Centre is fully accessible with Blue Badge parking spaces available at the front of the building. Occupiers will always be notified of any large events and access to the site will be available at all times.
The Centre overlooks beautiful rural views, so be part of an innovative community of food & drink and agri-tech businesses in these newly-refurbished first floor facilities.
Renting the event and conference space
Available to rent on either a half or full day basis is a fully equipped conference and seminar space which includes, a ceiling mounted projector, screen and speakers and free access to broadband and 4G mobile signal for guests. The space is suitable for up to 100 theatre-style or 50 cabaret style. Bookings can be made through the website, via email or over the phone with each event booking having its own tailored package created.
Renting the test kitchen
There is a 360 sq ft commercial training and test kitchen available, ideal for use by micro food and drink businesses looking to expand and grow. This will be a galley kitchen with communal fridge, microwave and dishwasher.
The Bath & West Rural Enterprise Centre is located approximately 18 miles south of Bristol and five miles east of Wells in a region of England which is still blessed with miles of unspoiled, rolling countryside, steeped in history and yet is easily accessible. No other facility in the area offers easy in and easy out terms on a day rate.
