Healthwatch Hillingdon thank you for participating in our survey. Your feedback is important to us.
The NHS is looking at how patients can be provided access to GP services 8am to 8pm, seven days per week.
GP practices in Hillingdon are generally open between the core hours of 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. In October 2017 a new service started, which now makes it possible for GP practices in Hillingdon to offer patients “extended hours appointments” every weekday evening - from 6:30pm to 8pm and at weekends between 8am and 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
These additional GP and nurse appointments are bookable through your own GP practice and are available at three hubs located in Uxbridge (at Central Uxbridge Surgery), Pinner (at Eastcote Health Centre) and Hayes (at Hesa Centre).
With your consent the GP, or Nurse, at the hub will be able access your medical records in the same way as your own GP.
The Healthwatch Hillingdon ‘GP Access Project’ is gathering your views on ‘extended hours appointments’ and how in the future you would like to access a GP, at a time that best suits you.
From gathering this information we will produce a report which aims to inform, shape, and improve access to GP practices in Hillingdon in accordance with the wishes expressed by local people.
By giving your views in this survey, you will have the opportunity to influence the way future GP services will be delivered in Hillingdon. The survey closes on 12th Jan 2018.
All responses will be anonymous unless you choose to give Healthwatch Hillingdon your details.
