Experiencing my 1st  death was always going to be hard, however I never imagined it would be my big brothers funeral that would be my 1st funeral.  5weeks before his 19th birthday he tragically passed away, due to complications of type 1 diabetes.  Diagnosed aged 7years old in 1977 life was never the same again, diabetes was unknown to many & treatment, compared to now, was totally different. Diabetes dictated every moment of our childhood & there were times my brother ,Craig, was in hospital more than home. Thankfully research has progressed and more and more children have been given their childhoods back, I want to see this continue for future generations and families.
