The One Million Youth SDGs Solutions Exhibitions
This year the United Nations marks her 75th anniversary under the theme “The future we want, the United Nations we need: reaffirming our collective commitment to multilateral-ism.” The UN Secretary-General has declared 2020 as the commencement of the Decade of Action for accelerating attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through sustainable solutions to all the world’s biggest challenges—ranging from poverty and gender to climate change, inequality and closing the finance gap.

The One Million Youth SDGs Solutions Initiative aims to identify and mobilize Ugandan youth with solutions that are changing lives in order to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs. The Initiative organised by the Government, United Nations and Youth Coalition for SDGs in Uganda in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, simultaneously kicks off the Decade of Action for acceleration of achievement of the SDGs, popularizes of the 2030 Agenda at national level to mobilize, empower and motivate one million young people to meaningfully join the actions and discussions geared towards achieving the SDGs. The COVID-19 pandemic is a reminder of how important it is that we work together - across borders, sectors and generations - to overcome the challenges we face.

The initiative will feature exhibitions from at least one million youth innovations that provide sustainable solutions to the SDGs, particularly in Uganda.
