5xHIVE is a project of Wunderkammer Company, a 501(c)3 contemporary art center based in Fort Wayne, Indiana's historic south central neighborhoods. While most of Wunderkammer Company's programming works specifically within the creative economy, 5xHIVE is open to all entrepreneurs.
Due to generous grant funding from the Knight Foundation, Wunderkammer Company presents 5xHIVE, a crowd-sourced entrepreneurship and investor development program which is designed to identify and support the entrepreneurship community of Northeast Indiana. The first of three aspects of 5xHIVE begins now, with "Idea Harvest" phase, which will run from November 4-December 18, 2015, and culminate with a $25,000 being given to the 5 strongest business ideas in $5,000 seed grants.
Next, from late December, 2015 through March, 2016, Wunderkammer Company will work with all applicants (seed grant winners and others), developing their ideas, while the seed grant recipients are in "stealth mode" furthering developing their ideas and constructing investor pitches. Lastly, from March-May 2016, Wunderkammer Company collects a group of traditional and alternative investors to hear investment pitches, and unveil their developed businesses to the public.
Currently, Wunderkammer Company is spreading the word about the Idea Harvest phase of 5xHIVE, collecting business ideas, and reaching out to partnering organizations and potential investors. Please provide all of the information requested below. By filling out the proposal form, you will be updated on all 5xHIVE events and information.
Wunderkammer Company will be collecting 5xHIVE business proposals until 12:00pm/Noon, Wednesday, November 25.
