Description

This free-pour tasting will allow you to experience the diversity and evolution of Australian wine.

Over the last two decades, there’s been a surge in plantings of alternative varieties. Mediterranean varieties like Fiano and Tempranillo as well as more unusual varieties like Assrytiko and Saperavi are finding a second home and unique expression in Australia.

Thanks to pioneering winemakers and with 65 different wine regions, Australia boasts a diverse, exciting range of grape varieties and wine styles.

This event is our largest free-pour tasting of 2017, with over 120 wines on show. Aglianico, Barbera, Cabernet Franc, Dolcetto, Friulano, Gruner Veltliner, Lagrein, Montepulciano, Nero d'Avola, Roussanne and Sangiovese are just some of the varieties in the line-up.

Think you know Australian wine? Then think again. Try these…

  • Saperavi - less than 20 producers (out of the country’s 2800) cultivate this rare variety
  • Arneis from the cool Southern Highlands
  • An aromatic field blend of Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Kerner from Eden Valley
  • Taminga from Murray Darling and Teroldego from Adelaide Hills

The event features wines from producers that are already in distribution as well as those not yet available in the UK market.

Trade Only. Invitation Only.

*Given the trade-only nature of this event registrations will be verified and non-trade applications will, unfortunately, be refused entry.
