Extended health and dental benefits survey for CUPE members: we want to hear from you!

This survey is for all CUPE members who work in Parts 1 to 3 of the Government of New Brunswick. This means members of the following CUPE Locals & Councils:

  • CUPE 1190: General Labour & Trades
  • CUPE 1251: Institutional Services
  • CUPE 1418: Rehab and Therapy
  • CUPE 1840: Court Stenographers
  • CUPE 1253: School districts unions council, general labour & trades
  • CUPE 2745: Student and educational support services
  • CUPE 1252: Council of hospital unions

In an initial survey of members, more than 55% of you told us you were unsatisfied with extended health and dental benefits currently provided through Medavie Blue Cross. When asked why you were unsatisfied, members cited the cost being too high and the benefits not meeting your needs as the most popular answers.

Now, we need answers to more specific questions about how your benefits are administered, and provided, and the impact these benefits are having on your life.

For more information about how your CUPE leadership has attempted to improve the benefits situation and has been prevented from doing so, read our most recent update to members.
