This session, tailored specifically for post-docs and grad students, will cover fundamental considerations for commercializing research discoveries, starting vs. finding a company, the process of taking your technology with you and resources for investigating new sources of grant funding for commercialization. Also included will be a discussion of SBIR/STTR basics, eligibility, participating agencies, the differences between SBIR and STTR, and how to determine if this type of funding makes sense for your technology.
