Czech designers set the ramp on fire with their Hollywood-inspired collection
The last show of Day 1 of the Bombay Times fashion Week, Spring-Summer 2020 at the St Regis, Mumbai was all about chic glamour and effortless style. The Czech Republic presented two accomplished and talented designers Beata Rajska and Aranka Slavikova who showcased some very wearable and stylish ensembles.
The show began with a documentary on the multiple aspects of the beautiful country and then went on to present clothes by the designers.

Structured cuts, delicate flowy fabrics that had movement, were amalgamated with lace details ruffles, bows in ankle length skirts. Every silhouette was feminine and graceful and both designers had beauty pageant winners as showstoppers.
Shivani Jadhav (Femina Miss Grand India 2019) walked for Czech designer Aranka Slavikova and Adline Castelino (LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020) was the showstopper for designer Beata Rajska.

Talking about her latest collection Woman Icon 2020 Beata said, “It was the virtual world that brought me back to the women that were more than real. Yes, this is my own vision, my approach. I was truly inspired by Sophia Loren with her sensual red colour, Brigitte Bardot with her cube vichy dress, Gina with her cleavages, Audrey Hupburn’s A-line skirts or Mamzelle Nitouche’s collar tight monk uniforms. All these women were my inspiration and especially those ones who are real; those who I meet every day. Those who might not be perfect but possess so much positive energy and inspire me to grow.”
Aranka Slavikova’s Arankas is an exceptional look at women and offers timelessness, prefers elegancy, femininity and seductiveness. Her work was about unparalleled clothes, made of luxury, in particular natural, materials. Her inspirations have been Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Marylin Monroe, Jaquline Kennedy and many others that can be considered as a symbol of femininity.
