Please complete the form below to RSVP to "Fast Risers and Slow Bakers: Which Type of Developing Athlete Are You?," FAN's event for active teens on Thursday, November 3, 2016, 5:00-6:00 PM, featuring David Epstein. It will be held at ReDefined Fitness, 1211 Washington Ave., Wilmette, IL 60091. The talk is free and open to teens and their parents/guardians.

Mr. Epstein is a former senior editor for Sports Illustrated magazine, and the New York Times best-selling author of "The Sports Gene: Inside the Science of Extraordinary Athletic Performance." He has a master's degree from Columbia University, where he was a university record-holder in track and field. He is the recipient of a Distinguished Alumni Award from Evanston Township High School (Class of 1998), and his 2014 TED Talk was one of the 20 most-watched that year.

We will accept 75 RSVPs for the event.

Please note that Mr. Epstein will be speaking to the general public on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 7:00 PM at Evanston Township High School Auditorium, 1600 Dodge Ave., Evanston, and on Thursday, Nov. 3, 7:00 PM, at New Trier High School, Northfield Campus, Cornog Auditorium, 7 Happ Rd., Northfield, The tile of those talks is "Late Specialization: The Surprising Key to Athletic Success." No RSVPs are required for either of those events, and seating is first come, first served.

ReDefined Fitness and The Runner's Edge (Wilmette) are co-sponsors of the teen workshop and the 2 public evening events.
