Fairfax United Methodist Church (FUMC) is committed to providing the best possible environment for nurturing young children. While the cost of our a full-day, accredited, preschool is significantly less than private institutions, it can still be challenging for some families in our community. 

FUMC is committed to ensuring that all children have access to our preschool, regardless of their family's income or ability to pay. Through the generosity of our members and preschool donors, we are able to offer need-based tuition assistance to families in our community. The Preschool Scholarship Fund helps close the gap between the actual cost of tuition and what a family can afford to pay. For some families that is a full scholarship, for others it is pro-rated based on the extent of their financial capacity. 

With your support, we will reach deeper into our community to serve families whose lives will be positively affected by our collective work, while ensuring our student body represents families from all economic and social backgrounds. 

ABOUT US

FUMC's preschool has a 42 year history helping children grow. Our staff is dedicated to offering high quality education for the children entrusted to our care. We encourage each individual child by placing equal emphasis on physical, social, emotional, creative, intellectual and spiritual development. Our curriculum is based on the belief that, for children, play is a developmental opportunity to explore their world, find out how to get along with others, test their skills and muscles, try out new ideas, and problem-solve. We offer daily opportunities to explore art media, science, writing, dramatic play, building, math, literature and the outdoors. 

While our program is a part of Fairfax United Methodist Church’s educational and outreach ministries, we welcome families of any religion or ethnic background, and love to share the traditions, music and foods of all our preschool families.
