Great Lakes Youth Rally 2023 

The Great Lakes Youth Rally is an event planned by teens for their peers (grades 7 to 12).  Through activities, Bible lessons, entertainment, meals, and devotionals, attendees have a chance to reflect on their faith and bond with others their age.

This year the theme of Youth Rally is “Choose Your Character” based on 2 Corinthains 5:17:  "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (NIV)

Who do you want to be or who are you becoming? How do you want others to see you? In Christ we are a new creation. Come, see, and learn what you can become or who youare becoming.

The Youth Rally committee prays that April 21-23, 2023, will be a fulfilling, meaningful, and, of course, fun time for all who attend. We hope to see you there! :)

SPEAKER: Jonathan Straker

Jonathan serves as the Associate and Worship Minister  at the Calgary Church of Christ. He has a passion for  cultivating worship services that sustain lives of service  in the community. He believes that worship should be  communal and participatory. Jonathan has been involved with Japanese missions, serving in the field for 10 years. He and his wife, Michiko, have been married  since 2004 and have three children. In his free  time, Jonathan enjoys the great outdoors, literature, music, art, and home roasted coffee. 

WORSHIP: José Santoyo

José is the Latino evangelist at the Church of Christ in Waterloo. Before coming to Canada with his wife Daniela in 2014, José was the full-time evangelist at the Puerto la Cruz Church of Christ in Anzoategui, Venezuela. He is passionate about worship, enjoys teaching new songs to his congregation, and conducts a Latino Choir. José is highly involved in several community outreach programs in which he finds opportunities to serve people and show God's love.

THE DETAILS 

The cost for the youth rally is $60; however, if you register by April 1, you only pay $50! If you are a dorm student at GLCHS, the cost for this weekend is $25. To help us plan a great Youth Rally Weekend, please make sure you register!
