Information about the sessions
Very young children have a special quality that can teach us to be calmer, more confident and generally happier.  A little one can be screaming with all their lungs one moment and then they can be beaming with laughter the next.  This quality of living moment by moment and experiencing things as if for the first time is central to mindfulness.  Did you realise that at home you had your very own little mindfulness master?!

What to expect:

The workshops will consist of structured play activities including sensory play, movement, music, and activities to encourage body and breath awareness.  We know from experience that children thoroughly enjoy activities when their parents take part with them. This is an important feature of the workshops, giving parents and children a chance to learn a little about mindfulness from each other, and to have fun. You will also leave with a few tools to try out at home.  The workshops are inspired by the key mindfulness principals taught on recognised mindfulness based initiatives such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and the Mindfulness in Schools Programme’s ‘Paws b Curriculum’.
Expect it to be action packed, fun and definitely not just sitting still with crossed legs for an hour!
