The purpose of the NEA Aspiring Educators of Color Caucus is to recruit, cultivate, and develop diverse aspiring educators.  With the make-up of educators of color only being 16.6%, this calls for recruitment strategies to be established.  Through proper recruitment and cultivation, the development of these aspiring educators will lay the foundation for the support and preparation needed to increase the underrepresention of educators in the education field.
