We had a good level of participation by students, parents/guardians, administrators, community members.  Below is a video which highlights the findings in a fireside chat format between our Superintendent of NPS, Dr. Maureen Brummett and the CEO of Indelible Impressions, Yvonne Alston. Language Diversity Conversation with Dr. Gerald Hairston and Mr. Tom Myler

In this video, we get to hear about some of the work being supported by one of our NPS, Parents/Families, and Community Council members, our very own Tom Myler. Tom works for Newington Public Schools, in his formal title as an E.S.O.L Teacher but he has helped shape how NPS addresses language diversity and how language impacts accessibility, inclusivity for families/parents, and the community. In this video, Tom will share how his personal and professional experience have provided him insight into how NPS, our Council, and district can most effectively provide equitable access throughout our system.
