A group of infrastructure experts met Wednesday at the Port of Houston Authority for a roundtable discussion on water and land freight transportation.

The discussion was part of the American Association of Port Authorities' Seaport Influencer Roundtable and Media Tour series, and it was followed by a tour of the Port of Houston. Media and industry experts received a ship channel tour from a Houston Pilots' boat and then a bus tour of the Bayport Container Terminal and logistics company Katoen Natie's plastic resin packaging complex.

Houston Chronicle photographer Mark Mulligan went along for the ride.
