As announced on Tuesday by Governor J.B. Pritzker, Illinois will be implementing the Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigation Plan beginning this Friday, November 20. Our commitment to the health and safety of our members remains our number one priority and we will continue to follow all guidelines set forth by the IDPH and CDC. Beginning this Friday, the following rules will be in effect for all members WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.

First and foremost, the Roos Recreation Center will be open to members only. DROP-INS/DAY PASSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Masks are required upon entering the facility. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THE FACILITY WITHOUT A MASK. Entry to the facility will be denied if you are not wearing a mask. MASKS MUST BE WORN INSIDE THE FACILITY AT ALL TIMES. Refusal to wear a mask will result in removal from the facility. Repeat offenses can result in revocation of membership.

Per the new Tier 3 guidelines, no more than 10 members will be allowed in the fitness room at any one time. Members must make a reservation to work out. Walk-up reservations are sufficient, but members may be turned away if the facility is at capacity. You can call the front desk at (708) 866-7667 to reserve a spot.
When working out, please practice proper social distancing and remember to wipe down your machines. Wipes can be found at multiple stations around the facility. We will also be moving some machines around the facility to help increase spacing. PLEASE USE ONE MACHINE AT A TIME TO HELP LIMIT CROSSOVER CONTACT. Our goal is to provide a comfortable, safe space for everyone to work out!

As of Friday, the guidelines also dictate that BASKETBALL WILL NO LONGER BE ALLOWED along with all indoor sports and fitness programming. The locker rooms will also remain closed. The bathrooms will be available, but the locker room area will be taped off and unavailable.

Please understand that these guidelines are intended to ensure the safety of our members and staff and are all in accordance with IDPH and CDC safety guidelines. Our goal is to be able to accommodate members for as long as we can, so if we all work hard to adhere to these rules, we will be able to remain open as long as the state permits.
