Fourth Green Flag for Rouken Glen Park

R

ouken Glen Park in East Renfrewshire, gaining a further Green Flag Award, has demonstrated again why it is one of the best parks in the country – and that’s official! The popular visitor attraction in Giffnock received its fourth prestigious Green Flag Award in August, a sign to visitors that the park is well-maintained and well-managed, with excellent facilities.

Rouken Glen Park is one of 59 parks and green spaces being

awarded the honour this year. This ensures that even more of us now have access to well-managed, high-quality green spaces. The Green Flag Award, administered in Scotland by Keep Scotland Beautiful, the independent environmental charity, is the benchmark for a quality green space. Last year, Rouken Glen Park came third in Scotland in the

Green Flag People’s Choice Awards. This year we want to do better! Vote for Rouken Glen Park as your favourite park to visit - visit the following link and search for Rouken Glen Park. www.greenflagaward.org - Voting opens in September and closes in October, so be quick!
