As the VP of Corporate Development at Clio, Shubham searches for innovative companies that are helping to bridge the access to justice gap through software. He looks for companies that can help accelerate Clio's product roadmap and transform the practice of law, for good. He has over 5 years of M&A experience on both sides of the table as a strategic acquirer and sell-side advisor, with experiences in sourcing, deal execution and integration. Prior to Clio, Shubham spent 2 years at Shopify working on the corporate development team. There, he completed 7 acquisitions and investments including the $450M acquisition of 6 Rivers Systems - a warehouse automation company, among others. Before Shopify, he helped fund, grow and exit venture-backed startups as a Director at SurePath Capital Partners, a strategic financial advisor to global SMB software businesses. He is a CPA, CA and obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

As an avid sports fan, he watches everything from basketball, hockey to cricket. In his spare time, he hosts the Backbone - a podcast exploring the journey inside finance at a startup, where he interviews finance leaders at various stages of technology companies.
