Some say legends are simply born. Others would claim that they are made, forged somewhere in the backcountry in bone-chilling temperatures – just a chick and a board (or a dude and some skis). We argue that legends are chosen…by the SnowSkool team. That’s right…forget your Jake Burtons, J-C Killys and Eddie the Eagle Edwards...we are looking for legends that we can see and touch (appropriately), we are looking for legends that we can shred with before sitting down for a beer and a good ole chin-wag.

SnowSkool’s new Legend of the Month series wants to hear from you! It doesn’t matter if you have just nailed your first snowplough turn or if you burst into tears at the thought of anything but the simplest green runs or even if you wear a Jester hat/ ride snowblades...you could be a legend! We are looking for people who can capture, in an image, just how very, very much they love skiing and/ or snowboarding. Ok, granted…this could be someone pulling a corked nine off the biggest booter in the Park but it may also be a stunning mountain-scape, a group hug between you and your buddies or something else which drives home the point that skiing & snowboarding are just the most awesome sports

Starting December 2013, we will select a winning photo during the first week of each month and that photo will appear as the cover of the SnowSkool Facebook page, on our blog and in our e-newsletter.

The first winner will be chosen in December 2013 and the series will run to the last winner in December 2014. In December 2014, we will review all 12 winners from across the year and choose our overall winner who will get to enjoy a week for 2 in a chalet in Méribel!
