Traveling to a world
championship can be a intim- idating prospect, but for the young Canadians who have qualified for the 2019 FEI Vaulting World Champi- onships for Juniors, coming up July 24-28 in Ermelo, NED, the trip seems a little less daunting knowing that they’ll be facing the chal- lenge together. All four qualified ath-
letes live in Alberta within 500km of each other: Averill Saunders lives in Sundre; Dallyn Shields resides in neighbouring Didsbury; Cas- sidy Johannesson is close by in Rocky Mountain House; and Talmage Conrad is from Lethbridge. In addition to being the
