Thanks for your interest in our winter workshop!

adelheid’s winter workshop 2018 starts with  a morning class (10am-12pm) given by Heidi Strauss*. The class uses both set and improvised structures to focus on efficient, functional and connected physical articulations, taking the body (and mind) through a range of possibilities.  With the music of Greg Harrison*, this class involves balancing expansive and nuanced movement propositions while giving attention to the act of listening.  

Afternoon sessions/Creative Lab (12:30-2:30pm) takes these ideas further in creative explorations. We will develop our collaborative capacities through deepening intuitive and considered relationships with music and sound.  Through considering how we listen, how dance integrates with music, and how we carry sound in our own bodies, we will devise structures that advance these understandings together with composers/musicians Greg Harrison* and Alex Kotyk*, and vocal artist/teacher Fides Krucker*. Spontaneity and curiosity will be our guiding principles.

An open studio sharing of our creative work will take place on Saturday the 8th @1:45pm.
