Join us for our annual Members Meeting, one of Alliance for Girls' hallmark events where more than 100 members of AFG (including service providers, community leaders, parents, girls, and other girls' champions) come together to learn from one another and inform the direction of the Alliance.

This year, we're excited to reveal our newly minted Strategic Plan to push our collective work forward for the coming years. As members, you'll be among the first to learn about the plan, the product of a six-month process led by Skylark Strategies, with the leadership and engagement of our board members, staff, 50+ members, girls, funders and industry thought leaders. There will be a follow-up discussion for us to hear your feedback and work together on next steps.

Joining us as the keynote speaker is:

Dr. Connie Wun
Founder & Director, Transformative Research
Co-Founder & Executive Director, AAPI Women Lead

Dr. Connie Wun is the Director of Transformative Research, a research, evaluation and training institute that works in partnership with organizations to end racial and gender disparities. She is also the Executive Director of AAPI Women Lead, a movement that is elevating AAPI (Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders) women-identified, women, and girls’ stories of struggle, survival and leadership.

Connie is a sought-after speaker, educator and facilitator, whose thought leadership has contributed to critical national conversations on race, gender and school discipline, including a recent BET News special that also featured Senator Cory Booker, former Senior Advisor to President Obama Valerie Jarrett and former First Lady Michelle Obama. Her published work has been featured in The Feminist Wire, Critical Sociology, Truthout and more.

At the Members Meeting, we look forward to hearing Dr. Connie Wun discuss the power of community-driven research and what we can do to dismantle systems of racial and gender-based oppression.

We'll also be hearing from other incredible leaders in the field, sharing promising practices and connecting with one another over a catered networking lunch and interactive sessions.

Check out the agenda here for the full list of speakers and topics.

This event is free and open to Alliance for Girls members only. Not a member? Join us!
