ASP Senior Final 2018 is ready! Get it done as soon as you can. Due 4/12. http://bit.ly/aspseniorfinal2018

We are looking for volunteers to help sort and deliver ASP t-shirts and sweatshirts during 5th period on Friday, January 19th. Email pgarrett@pps.net if you are interested in helping.

Hello Advanced Scholars and Mentors!

Hope you all had a restful break; it seemed to go by so quickly! We wanted to email about a meeting change.

Since there is only one Tutorial during the month of January, we will not be having group meetings on January 11th. Instead, we are asking that mentees check in with their mentors and do the following:

  1. Grade check-in (see attached form)
  2. Use Tutorial time to meet with teachers

Here's a list of future ASP meetings all during Tutorial; please mark your calendars:

  1. February 15th during Tutorial (finalizing forecasting)
  2. March 22nd during Tutorial (3rd quarter check-in)
  3. May 2nd during Tutorial (Stole Ceremony)

Finish first semester strong!

Best of luck, Ms. Garrett and Ms. Wong

College Essay Mentoring Project:

Permission Slip

The first 20 students who turn in their permission slips will have the opportunity to work with a mentor who will help them revise college application essays during 5th or 6th period on Oct 24th.

Students will be matched up to a mentor, and they will work together to revise and edit a rough draft of a college application essay. Emphasis will be placed on developing a student/mentor relationship, and revising essays to reveal a unique voice, to add a professional polish, and to highlight a student’s ability to write and think.

I, _______________________________________, will be an enthusiastic and prepared participant on the morning of October 24th for our College Essay Mentoring Project.
