While we cannot safely celebrate our Heritage Award Dinner together this year, the needs of Boys and Girls Country haven’t changed. We remain fully committed to continue to be a haven for our kids.
For 49 years, Boys and Girls Country has stayed true to its mission to change the lives of children from families in crisis. Because of friends like you, our kids are reaching heights many never thought possible. We had 11 graduates in 2020 – 10 from high school and one with a bachelor’s degree. Cameron has been accepted to Rice University. None of this is possible without private donations.
Because of COVID-19, we made the difficult decision to cancel our annual Spring Festival in May and the Heritage Award Dinner in October; these revenues constitute about 45% of our budget. In their place, we have created the Heritage Campaign, the revenue from which is absolutely critical to the care of our kids.
Though our gatherings are canceled, we still have celebrating to do! With God’s blessings and the support of friends like you, lives are being changed at Boys and Girls Country. Every year we are inspired by our seniors who have overcome so much in their lives and are finally reaching the big milestone of graduation. Despite the current circumstances, our Class of 2021 will soar!
