EMPLOYMENT CORNERSTONES
We do our jobs as working unto the Lord, using the gifts God has given us, providing our best efforts and seeking excellence in all we do.
Comments:
We regard fellow employees, students, and other constituents as brothers and sisters in Christ, respecting and valuing the diversity that enriches our community and modeling the University Decalogue in our daily interactions.
Comments:
We are intentional in sharing information and resources with other employees/departments that will maximize success in their jobs.
Comments:
We will encourage each other to keep God first in our lives, and to maintain a healthy balance of work, family, and ministry activities.
Comments:
We regard the views and opinions of others as something to be valued and considered in making decisions, particularly ones that impact them.   After significant decisions are made, we will be thorough in explaining the factors considered and the basis behind the decision.

With full appreciation that employees are Biola’s most valued resource, Biola will provide salaries and benefit packages that are competitive with universities similar to Biola and the local marketplace.

Biola will encourage the spiritual and professional growth of employees by providing appropriate mentoring, training, programs, and resources consistent with their position and development needs.

We will operate both as individuals and as an organization with the highest levels of honesty and integrity.  We will take the moral high ground. We will avoid compromises that may be within the letter of the law, but that we know violates the intent.  We will be accountable for our decisions, actions, and behavior.

We will demonstrate sound Biblical stewardship in all decisions regarding the use of the monetary, human, and capital resources with which we have been entrusted.
