i've been writing 'disarm white patriarchy' on instruments and other things for much of 2016 because it is a specific rally cry that highlights inter-sectional motives and calls out a specific threat. then we made a couple dozen (or less) shirts and a bunch of people expressed a desire to wear one. so we're gonna make more.
SIZES: these shirts are going to come from a variety of sources, so tell me the size/make of shirt you would like and i'll do my best. being kind of specific helps. (ie - i wear small-mediums or large-smalls.)
PAYMENT: i don't want there to be a barrier to folks here, so there's no required monetary payment. however, i do request that you share one way you're going to help to disarm patriarchy, figuratively or literally. i am holding myself to call out any bigoted terminology or expression from my mouth or mouths of those around me and to abandon my fear of doing so. i will make more promises to disarm white patriarchy in the weeks and months to come, but this is the one i want share now. the idea is by sharing these things we are making eachother accountable. i'm not just trying to make 'cool' shirts or whatever.
folks have asked if they can donate and i *will* accept donations to support the project. any left over donations raised from this project will go towards a self-defense fund we are starting with Boxcar Books in order to provide legal measures of self-defense to anyone who feels they need protection in these times.
