Tell us what you think about community-owned solar
Across the United States, interest in community-owned solar programs is growing! These programs allow more people to use solar energy without having to install solar panels. The benefits of community solar programs include:
  - Helping the environment and slowing down climate change
  - Increasing energy independence and security
  - Protection against rising energy bills and fuel costs
  - Creating local jobs and educational opportunities
  - Move racial equity and justice

The NAACP cares about community-owned solar because it is a way to ensure low income and people of color can access the health and cost benefits of renewable energy. The NAACP wants to secure affordable, healthy, and reliable energy for income, Black, brown, and Indigenous communities. #Don’tBlocktheSun
