Description

Participating in a virtual 5K is a fun and easy way to stay active and healthy in a safe way! With Spring upon us and cabin fever at an all-time high, USA Cares invites you to run, walk, or bike your way to fitness in the “Keep Your Distance” VIRTUAL 5K, supporting veterans and military families in need.

Anyone across the nation can safely participate while engaging with one another virtually. Move at your own pace, track your progress, and when you finish, simply email media@usacares.org a picture of yourself to show completion! Though many participants choose to use a mobile tracker app or wearable tech to track their progress, you are not required to and we have no issues with you doing things the good old-fashioned way!

All proceeds from this event will help veterans and military families in need of emergency aid. The isolation and stress often experienced by veterans have intensified over the past year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the veteran suicide rate has increased by 20%. USA Cares is dedicated to making sure that the most vulnerable members of our military veteran community are not forgotten during this global crisis.

ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A CUSTOM FINISHERS’ MEDAL BY MAIL.

Adult Registration: $28/person (18 years or older)
Youth Registration: $14/person (5-17 years or older)
Register: Sign up online anytime between April 1 – May 31, 2021.

Complete Your Run/Walk: You can begin as soon as you register and participants are challenged to finish their 5K within 14 days of their registration date.

Submit Your Results: Once you’ve completed your 5K, email a picture of yourself with your race time/distance to media@usacares.org.

Don’t forget to share your finish! Share a photo of you and your medal on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #usacares.
