This year's online auction has now closed. We'll be back to do this again next year!

The 37 items raised £3,805 - a huge thank you to all the businesses for taking part.

And to everyone who bid!

A massive thank you in particular to the locally-based Yusuf Islam Foundation.

Not only did the Foundation donate two Cat Stevens/Yusuf prizes (five prizes in all, including via the Maqam Centre) but the Foundation also made an additional donation of £21,000, split between Salusbury World, St Laurence's Larder and Sufra NW London!

Below is how it all unfolded........please get in touch if you have a prize to donate for next year....

Can you help us?

100% of money donated will be split between our three chosen charities: St Laurence's Larder, Sufra NW London and Salusbury World.

They work together to get free food, clothes, counselling and other vital services to people in our area who need help..

Each of them are dependent on donations and volunteers. And there is a message from Salusbury World and St Laurence's below.

You can click here to get the auction site. You can also follow us on @kensalqueenspark on Instagram.

There is a very special prize list: thank you to the many high street businesses for supporting this -

Monica Maja Richardson Art, Moberly Sports Centre, Maqam, Ida, The Parlour, Lexi, Scarlet & Violet, Mindful Kids, bagsoflove, Kensal Pines, Provenance, Brooks, Gym Locomotive, Den Bake, Cable Co, Field to Fork, Yogaloft, Tabitha Robertson aromatherapy, Ruth Eglin Pilates, Sol Airzcorbe Photography, Phoenix Outdoor Centre, Planet Organic, Laura Cupcake Shop, Hana Sushi, Queens Park Book Festival, Chiara Grif, YogaLoft, Planet Organic, Mariangela Personal Training, Madeleine Bender.

You can also read about us in the Brent & Kilburn Times.

If you have a question or would like to add a prize, please email at kensalqueenspark@gmail.com or give Giles a call on 07753 949 301. Thank you!

How else can you help (free and easy)?

Please simply "like"/"share" the prizes when they go up on social media as this helps us reach more bidders.

Not free but very easy: do please bid and bag yourself a lovely prize before bidding closes on Sunday 15th December.

You'd like to help but auctions aren't for you?

St Laurence's, Sufra NW London and Salusbury World would love to hear from you!

They cannot continue to help vulnerable local people without volunteers and donations.

Daniels Estate Agents on Chamberlayne Rd accept quality men's clothes for Sufra NW London and St Laurence's, as does Malorees Schools for their parents. Andra (see below) accepts clothing at Creighton Rd..

Salusbury School collect food donations from parents for St Laurence's also. The Lexi collect food donations for Brent Foodbank.

And if you'd like to know more about other great organisation and charities in your area, Sufra NW London prepared this brilliant directory resource.

If exercise is your thing, please join the amazing community vibe of 100 local people forming the Kensal Rise mini-Triathlon team in Blenheim this year (ages 5-65 last year).

We are recruiting now for the events on Sunday 31 May.

Or please suggest another fundraising idea we can collaborate on?

A message today (5/12) from Salusbury World

Christmas is coming and you can make it matter.....

In the past you’ve been keen to be updated with news and successes of Salusbury World and right now we really need your help.

This year Salusbury World has celebrated 20 years supporting refugees of all ages rebuild their lives in the UK. Its small team of 10 staff and 150 volunteers have worked tirelessly providing children with mentoring and clubs, and giving adults essential advice and support.

The results have been terrific with many children going on to successful careers and families leading independent lives and contributing to the community in many different ways.   You can read all about our 20th anniversary year in The Brent and Kilburn Times.

However like all other organisations we are feeling the pinch. In fact to put it bluntly we are about to hit a funding crisis in Spring 2020 and you can really make a difference.

It costs about £300,000 to provide this invaluable support and we receive NO government funding. Salusbury World will be forced to drastically reduce or stop providing services by Spring 2020 unless we get support from our supporters like you and local businesses.

This Christmas we would really value your help with any donations; no matter how small your donation it will help us continue our valued work.

Please let us know if you can help, we’d love to say a big thank you on social media.

You can donate via https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/SalusburyWorldChristmas or straight into our bank account Salusbury World 08-92-99 65250594.

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Best wishes from everyone at Salusbury World.

A message from St Laurence's Larder

We need your help so we can carry on helping our guests.

Every month it costs us £1,000 to feed those who come to us for a hot meal, a shower, to wash their clothes and have a chat.

Despite the generosity of those who give us food, clothes and their time, we still have to pay for staple foods to create the dishes and for the utilities we use such as hot water and electricity for the tumble dryers.

Please help us to keep the larder going at this time of great need in our community and beyond.

We will soon be able to take donations from cards, PayPal etc but while we're getting this set up, please email us at info@laurenceslarder.org.uk if you can help with donations of money, food, clothes or your time.
