Welcome

More than 8 million people are struggling with problem debt, and the cost of living crisis is worsening for households across the UK.

You could help them.

We are looking for a new Chief Executive for the Money Advice Trust, a leading UK debt advice charity. We run the highly regarded National Debtline and Business Debtline services, and also train people giving debt advice in other organisations. After over three decades of successful work we are about to enter a new and exciting phase.

We recently won a three year contract from the Money and Pensions Service and the financial resilience this provides gives us the opportunity to develop our services and help more people. With the cost of living crisis raging we are keen to grow our reach and modernise our business model, harnessing the power of new technology, and also develop new partnerships across the UK.

Our training already plays a central role in the advice sector and credit industry and we have ambitions to grow this work. We also want to make full use of our data and insights to help change the public policy landscape for the better.

The Trust has an outstanding reputation, a strong track record, and the potential to make an even greater impact.

We are looking for a new Chief Executive who is passionate about our purpose and will bring outstanding influencing and negotiating skills; experience of delivering quality, value for money services in a commissioned or commercial environment; exceptional partnership building experience; highly evolved political skills and a deeply held commitment to our mission.

If this ambition excites you then we would love to hear from you.

Thank you for your interest in the Money Advice Trust.

Christine Farnish CBE,
Chair of Trustees
