The Lutheran-Episcopal Joint Committee of Virginia is sponsoring a Day of Prayer led by the Rev. Katherine A. Grieb, Meade Professor of Biblical Interpretation and New Testament at Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, VA. Rev. Grieb will lead us in considering how and why to pray, whom to pray with, resources for prayer, prayer and the liturgical year, and will share other personal prayer practices.

SCHEDULE

9:30 am: Gather/Registration
10:00 am: Opening Worship
10:30 am: First Presentation, "Lord, teach us to pray" (Luke 11:1), followed by break-out groups
12:30 pm: Lunch
1:15 pm: Second Presentation, "Abba, Father" (Mark 14:36)
2:00 pm: Closing Worship
2:15 pm: Go in Peace

Registration fee is $20 per person. Deadline for registration is Nov. 7, 2017.
