The procuRE project in Velenje is making significant headway! Here's a quick update on what's been accomplished and what's on the horizon. Achieved: ✅ Renovation package finalised with local subcontractors and specific technology equipment chosen, and contracts signed with the suppliers. ✅ Existing electrical network prepared for the Building Management System (BMS) installation. ✅ Mandatory permits for production and storage equipment installation secured (2023). Coming Soon 🔜 👉 Finalise renovation and installation works and integrate equipment with existing building systems. 👉 Training sessions will take place over the coming months to inform building occupants on the solution’s contribution to advance decarbonisation of the building stock in Velenje and raise awareness about the potential of renewable energy supply. On April 10th, SEBR hosted a training workshop at the school in Nuremberg where we are actively retrofitting and implementing technologies to significantly reduce energy consumption and emissions. In Phase III, procuRE's partners and suppliers have started with the #Renovation activities for the demonstration sites. Here are the latest updates for #Nuremberg: Achieved ✅ Civil works for equipment installation concluded ✅ Preparatory work for HVAC (e.g. piping and mountings) done in the last months of 2023 ✅ The heat pump was installed last January and is being incorporated into the heating control system ✅ Training sessions with teachers started in April, discussing about the energy transition & ways to boost classroom engagement   Coming Soon 🔜 👉Additional training activities will take place to dig deeper into the solution’s potential 👉Integration of other buildings’ systems with the BMS and control hardware installation is underway.   These renovation works are part of the co-design process developed between SEBR solutions and Stadt Nürnberg. 🔥🔥 Introducing our first pilot in Nuremberg! SEBR is moving full steam ahead in Phase III of procuRE, retrofitting buildings across Europe with innovative solutions 🌍.    🏫 We are currently retrofitting an elementary school to lower its emissions, integrating solar panels, heat pump systems, and advanced energy solutions. With the integration of these technologies, the building is expected to cover 62% of the building's energy needs through solar energy, significantly reducing dependence on non-renewable sources.    🌟 Nuremberg is on a path to net-zero carbon emissions by 2035. In 2019, the city faced significant energy challenges, with electricity and heating costs for schools and offices alone totalling €17 million out of a €34 million budget. procuRE launched the third phase of the project! We congratulate PARadISE (R2M Solution, Prosume Energy, ENDEF , Aire Limpio) and SEBR solutions (DEFCON8, Lancey Energy Storage, ITeC - Institut de Tecnologia de la Construcció de Catalunya, mondas GmbH, Centre international de formation européenne, Three o'clock) consortia and looking forward for a productive work during the final phase of the PCP project. During the following months each supplier will install and test their solutions in three buildings each.
