The project is taking place throughout the month of February 2020.

The site has information on the goals of the project, updates on how you can participate in the process and will be the place where information and plan drafts will be posted. What is the Project All About?

New England communities are seeing increased impacts from severe weather events, increased precipitation and coastal communities are subject to sea level rise. To prepare Barrington and the Bay Spring neighborhood to be more resilient to these impacts, the goals of this project are to:

  • Build awareness of the climate change impacts and related threats and opportunities

  • Provide a forum for robust public participation in neighborhood planning for resilience

  • Identify specific projects and actions that can increase neighborhood resilience

  • Provide a completed plan for actions that the Town can use to implement projects and actions over the coming years

What is the Project Area?

The project area will be the area to the south of Haines Park, to the east of the East Bay Bike Path/Allin’s Cove, to the south by Narragansett Bay and to the west by Bullock’s Cove. (See aerial with project boundaries below.)
