Shakespeare’s “The Tempest”

Wildest Dreams Berry College Dance Concert – March 30 – 31 & April 1 – Rome City Auditorium

This concert celebrates Berry College Dance Troupe’s 20th year of performances. As a way of marking this milestone, Dance Troupe alumni will participate in the show as choreographers and dancers alongside current Berry College students. The concert will draw the audience into the choreographer’s personal dreams and aspirations, as only dance can communicate through ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop and Latin dance.

Mozart’s Magnificent Requiem – April 1 – DeSoto Theatre

The Rome Symphony Chamber Orchestra will perform Mozart’s magnificent Requiem, with soloists and a mass choir from Berry College.

Spring Art Market – April 1 – 2 – Rome Civic Center – FREE EVENT

Chieftain’s Herb and Plant Sale – April 8 – 9 – Coosa Valley Fairgrounds – FREE EVENT

It’s time to dust off your gardening gloves—the 2017 Herb & Plant Sale is almost here! This year’s sale will take place on April 8th and 9th at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds, with sale hours from 8:00am-4:00pm on Saturday and 12:00pm-3:00pm on Sunday. Experts from the Georgia Master Gardener Extension Volunteers of Floyd County will be on site to answer all your plant related questions.

Earth Day Paddle on the River – April 22 – Etowah River

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than discovering what is arguably the Etowah’s most picturesque six-mile stretch (Hardin Bridge to 411). This is a great paddle for families and children with plenty of play places and beautiful scenery. If we’re lucky we’ll catch the drum running up river—a true sight to behold.

ACC Men’s & Women’s Tennis Championships – April 25 – 30 – Rome Tennis Center at Berry College

See a tennis tournament unlike any other at the Rome Tennis Center.

Up the Creek Without a Pedal – April 29 – Forum River Center

There’s no place like Rome for the 27th annual Up the Creek Century Ride. The ride will leave from the Forum in downtown Rome and head north to the scenic roads and hills of Northwest Georgia. New this year, a 5-mile paved trail ride with a scavenger hunt and prizes for the kids along the Heritage Trail system for families sponsored by Harbin Clinic. Post-ride lunch tokens will be available to be redeemed at various downtown restaurants.

Cave Spring Bacon Fest & Car Show – April 29 – Rolater Park & Town Square

There will be all types of homemade BACON dishes to “taste” (bacon fudge-yummy),Arts and Crafts at the Community Center. If you have a “special” bacon dish you want to prepare – or you want to sell your Art/Craft items
