TechPerspectives Boston

Where design innovations & technologies come together

Technology is transforming the way that buildings and infrastructure are designed, constructed and operated. It is helping improve decision making and performance across the buildings and infrastructure lifecycle.

TECH Perspectives seminars focus on the most exciting technologies driving significant change in the design and construction industry. This year, we will hear from design technology innovators about Collaboration & Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Visualization: Enhanced Realities and Immersive Experiences.

Collaboration & BIM

CONNECTING DESIGN AND DATA THROUGH THE PROJECT LIFECYCLE

Technology is radically transforming the way that buildings and infrastructure are designed, constructed, and operated. With BIM at the core of your project delivery, the need for anytime, anywhere, collaboration, data continuity comes into play. How do we make sure we're all working on the most up to date information and maintaining a single source of truth? Hear from our various tech innovators as we discuss the future of tightly connected BIM tools:

Jeremy Munn, Program Director | Northeastern University
Nirva FereshetianAssociate Principal Chief Information Officer | CBT Architects
Paul Kassabian
Principal | Simpson Gumpertz & Heger
Jack Moran
, Manager of VDC Services | Consigli Construction

Visualization

ENHANCED REALITIES & IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

Visualization has been heralded a radical new era for the design industry. VR, AR, and mixed reality has been allowing architects and engineers to create stunning, interactive walkthroughs and provide clients with a realistic sense of how it would feel like to actually experience a simulated environment. Technology enables visualizing spaces and render architectural models in immersive environments, utilizing augmented reality to create three-dimensional objects within a real space, and creating a VR walkthrough based on your BIM data. Hear from different design experts the new ways for architects, engineers, and contractors to better visualize, share and construct projects.
