All youth ages 8-12 are encouraged to sign up for Thrive 9th Ward's Youth Basketball League, led by basketball coach of 25 years, Norwood Morris. The program is open to all Louisiana residents, however priority entry will be given to youth in the neighborhood vicinity of the Thrive 9th Ward Community Center, i.e. the Desire/Florida area.

The fall practice schedule will begin on September 10 and run through December, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8pm. Additional practice time may be required, depending on the level of participation. Basketball games will likely begin in December and run through the winter/early spring; games will most likely occur on Saturdays.

A completed liability waiver is required for all youth to participate in the program.
