Torbay Community Helpline
A community helpline, started on 16th March 2020 initially for those affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic. The Torbay Comunity Helpline is open to the people of Torbay to request help, volunteer their assistance or refer anyone they believe/know needs help.

Examples of what we provide support with include (but aren't limited to) financial advice, mental health support, foodbank referrals and befriending, all provided by a number of community groups and statutory services around Torbay.

Our main phone line (01803 446022) is available:

  • Weekdays: 10am-1pm & 3-6pm
  • Saturdays: 11:30am-12:30pm
  • Sundays: Closed
  • Bank holidays: Closed on most bank holidays, hours may vary around Christmas & New Year’s
Our team will typically respond to submissions from this online form during helpline opening hours only.

In order to provide you with the best level of support, sometimes it may be appropriate to refer you to an outside organisation.

We run on limited resources and are very much reliant on volunteers, we will do our very best to assist you within a time frame, however we are not an emergency service and as such are not in a position to guarantee a response time.

The Torbay Community Helpline is operated by staff, volunteers, associates and partners of Torbay Communities (lead), with funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and Office for Civil Society.
