VNG International is working on St Maarten in the context of the recovery and reconstruction efforts after hurricane Irma in 2017. In that context, a project funded by the World Bank strengthening non-governmental organizations (NGOs) is being set up by VNG International.

In order to do so, a grants mechanism will be set-up to launch periodic calls for proposals to fund projects with recovery and rehabilitation objectives. In addition, a component focusing on technical assistance and capacity building will be launched to complement the grant mechanism with institutional capacity building for the grant beneficiaries (NGOs).

Two main instruments, the draft Safeguard Instruments and  the Stakeholders Engagement Plan, are shared with the NGO sector and other stakeholders. Kindly peruse and provide us with your feedback.
