About VietRISE

Founded in 2018, VietRISE is a community organizing, advocacy, and movement building organization based in Orange County, CA. We organize Vietnamese people in Orange County to become activists, advocates, organizers, and leaders for systems change, community empowerment, and social justice.

We advance immigrant and housing justice through strategic policy and advocacy campaigns, building youth power and leadership through youth organizing and leadership development programs, making government more accessible to our community through civic engagement, empowering our community through cultural programming, and providing direct support to the most impacted people in our community through immigration and housing support services.

Volunteer Information
We are looking for volunteers to conduct door-to-door outreach to Vietnamese voters in Little Saigon during this 2024 March Primary election. 

All volunteers will be trained in local ballots and state proposition information, canvassing, and will learn/receive civic engagement tools and community-building skills that we encourage to be taken back to their respective communities so we can continue to advance social justice and community empowerment in Little Saigon.
Positions and shifts available until March 5!
Meals will be provided during shifts!

Volunteer Responsibilities
  • Door-to-door canvassing to inform Vietnamese residents on the 2024 ballot measures, remind residents to vote in the 2024 March Primary election, and answer questions regarding the ballot measures and how/where to vote
  • Data entry: each canvasser is responsible for inputting data they compile from canvassing into our online database

General Field Questions
Volunteers will be asked to conduct short questionnaires with residents. Specifically, questions will pertain to the 24 March Primary election, ballot propositions in California, and voting. We will provide training, canvassing materials, and scripts. Can you commit to this? *
