The Best Wildwood Slice 2014

1.) Mack's Pizza - Avg: 4.0

Mack's-Pizza

In 1953, Mack's Pizza opened to a rainy Memorial Day, selling only 8 pizza pies the entire weekend -- But secretly a magic recipe was brewing, soon to satisfy generations of Wildwood lovers. 60 years later, Mack's still has its magic touch -- and we're not being sentimental here. This slice is bursting with flavor, atop a crispy, thin crust that somehow holds it all together neatly. This slice was perfectly prepared for consumption. Tim put it succinctly; "Mack's nailed it this year."

1. Franconi's Pizza - Value Rating (PPR) = 1.85

Franconis-Pizza

Franconi's may not have won the 2014 Pizza Tour, but they're not strangers to making great pizza -- As a matter of fact, they won Pizza Tours 2010 and 2013. If there's one thing as good as their pizza flavor, it's their slice price. Consider the two, and Franconi's wins the best value slice on the Wildwood boardwalk. We're pretty sure it's the best $2.00 you can spend in Wildwood.

1. Franconi's Pizza - Value Rating (P3R) = 74.0

Franconis-Pizza

A great tasting slice of pizza is great -- It's tough to argue with that -- But you don't want to be left hungry, mouth-drooling either. That's where Frank's signature P3R rating comes in. The 'Pizza-to-Price-to-Points-ratio' (P3R), evaluates the 'Big 3' factors to maximize value and pizza happiness: pizza slice flavor, size and price. That's exactly what Franconi's specializes in: $2.00, a large slice (3rd largest on the boards), and best of all, great flavor.
