JOPLIN, Mo. — About 5:45 PM Tuesday reports of a large truck and trailer crash along East Zora, blocking all lanes of traffic, just west of the 249 overpass. The truck remained upright but the trailer is blocking traffic.

Missouri State Highway Patrol tell us on the scene the driver swerved to avoid another vehicle coming into his lane. The trailer broke free and laid over.

Webb City Fire Department, Joplin Fire Department and Duenweg Fire Department all responded, which is normal protocol since it is near all three jurisdiction lines. It was determined to be in the Duenweg Fire District. All departments assisted in controlling traffic until roads were blocked.

The driver was not injured in the crash. Troopers tell us he was wearing his seat belt. East Zora was reopened to traffic at 7:30 PM.

M&M Wrecker set the 28-foot trailer, also known as a pup trailer, upright without unloading it. They were then able to tow it away after removing the front wheels of the trailer.
