Stroke information
Diabetes is a condition that occurs when your body cannot regulate the amount of sugar in your blood. Diabetes almost doubles your risk of stroke, so it is important that it's treated and controlled well if you have it.
This guide describes the main symptoms of diabetes and explains the link between diabetes and stroke. It offers advice on treating diabetes with medication, and shows how leading an active lifestyle and eating well can reduce your risk of diabetes and stroke.
