Ashoka's Youth Venture brings together young "Social Entrepreneurs"

Things are changing around the world and young people like me want to do more and influence positive outcome for our society at large.

I am happy that as a "social entrepreneur" with my invention of Braigo and establishing Braigo Labs Inc. I have found an amazing platform with Ashoka's Youth Venture to further contribute to society in even more meaningful ways and tackle issues that impact us directly.

We ( Me, Daniella Cohen and Amit Dodani ) have joined the US Youth Advisory Council of Ashoka's Youth Venture. We are a group of passionate students and young changemakers who want to collaborate with others in our generation to create meaningful change on emerging social issues and opportunities for improving our world . Using our knowledge from starting our own social ventures and community-building, we hope to empower everyday heroes and changemakers and amplify positive impact for communities across the country. The overall Idea

Ashoka’s Youth Venture is seizing this opportunity to amplify the powerful work of young changemakers through the establishment of Ashoka’s inaugural Global Youth Advisory Council. Consisting of the world’s most promising social entrepreneurs, (ages 12 through early 20s), the council will serve as a renowned group of peers working together to change the course of history.

Through the establishment of the Global Youth Council, Ashoka’s Youth Venture will:

• Equip aspiring changemakers to master the core changemaker pathways of Cognitive Empathy, Building Team of Teams, Fluid Leadership and Changemaking.  
• Co-create with young changemakers creative ways for carrying out changemaking across the youth ecosystem. Ashoka’s Youth Venture will work with the Council co-design effective youth changemaker engagements.  

Changemakers in the Global Youth Council will:

• Collaborate on a national campaign of their own design, innovate changemaker youth engagements with Ashoka and Youth Venture, and lead with solutions that will advance their causes in a peaceful, powerful way that cuts across religious, racial, economic and national barriers.

The United States Youth Council

Goals: We aim to activate changemakers across the country by introducing projects, calls to action, and campaigns tailored to relevant social issues. The Council will serve as a:

1. Internal support network: The Council will pool the creative capital within the group and support one another’s efforts towards changemaking, launching social ventures and building youth-led social change.
2. Collaborative space for activating a nations of changemakers: The council is a space to co-create with changemakers across the country youth-led social messages and youth led campaigns for building an ‘Everyone A Changemaker’ nation.
3. Advisory to Ashoka’s Youth Venture and Global Leadership: The council will act as an advisory team to Ashoka’s Youth Venture and Ashoka’s Global Leadership, to ensure young people have a voice in how to build an ‘Everyone A Changemaker’ world that meets the needs and remains relevant to young people.
4. Responsive voice and mobilizer: The council will act quickly and effectively to emerging social issues that impact young people. But we cannot do it alone, we need YOU, your school and your networks!
